Laymen's Hinduism - Part 1

Why is Hinduism looking into the dress code of a person when he enters into the temple like they should be wearing a new washed cloth. Is Hinduism giving importance to external appearance than internal faith.

The answer is: We have to look into the loooong history of Hinduism. The archealogical evidence of Harappa and Mohanjadaro is something dated back to 3000+ years. If you see the site you can understand that they are very well civilized and lived a life better than today. It took 2000 years for us to reach this level of Civilization. So think how many years it would have taken to them to reach that level of civilization. Nothing less than another 2000 years. So Hindu religious proof is dated back to minimum 5000 years. So the so called Hindu religion is not just fit into the fold of religion alone. They have started giving importance to the society and the way a person should live too. Hope you can understand now that it is not true that Hinduism is giving importance to the dress code. Its a very comprehensive religion so it preaches the way of living through religious faith.
